Get all the tools you need for your social sector job search – in just one week
Has it been a while since you last looked for a job, or are you facing a job search that you didn’t expect? Are you eager to get moving on your search and feeling confused, stuck or overwhelmed about where to start?
We understand, and we’re here for you!
Job searching can be a frustrating, confusing, and isolating process, especially when you’re looking for mission-driven work and even more so now, during the midst of a global slowdown in hiring.
We’ve been running our popular and results-focused Job Search Bootcamp program for nearly four years, taking hundreds of social impact job seekers through our proven process to get job search ready.
And now we’re condensing that process into a one week intensive version of the Bootcamp, to help you get moving on your job search quickly and effectively.
Why an intensive Bootcamp?
This is a quick-moving program, so we’ll get right to the point: we decided to offer this new version of Job Search Bootcamp because planning longer term is so darn hard right now.
We know that if you’re in a career transition, you need support now. While we weren’t planning on offering another group program until the fall, that feels like an eternity from now in our current environment.
We’re in a strange place, that’s for sure – but there are definitely still mission-driven jobs out there, and we want to help you land them!
So we’re adapting and condensing Bootcamp to help you get results and momentum even faster.
How it works
Job Search Bootcamp is a group coaching program designed to give you all the tools you need for a successful social impact job search.
The intensive version will condense our normal eight week program into one week. We’ve prioritized the elements that we know are most important to do in a group setting – like getting feedback on your career story, resume, and interview skills – and we’ll be focusing on those in our meetings throughout the week.
You’ll get constructive, real-time feedback from our team of coaches and you’ll get to know your cohort of fellow job seekers through our meetings and our private Slack discussion space, where our coaches will be available to answer your questions outside of our daily meetings.
As a participant in this program, you’ll receive:
- Supportive coaching and feedback from our team of expert career coaches; we’re all former social sector recruiters and HR leaders who are excited to share our insider knowledge with you and help you succeed in your job search
- Eight hours of group calls, including a three hour kickoff session on Saturday, and daily one hour calls from Monday-Friday; during these calls we’ll hone in on the key concepts you need to know, give each other feedback in small groups, and have Q&A time with our coaches
- A private discussion space, where you’ll connect with other participants and your coaches, share ideas and resources, and get answers to your questions
- Access to our entire library of content and videos via our Job Search Bootcamp course; we’ll be supplementing our group meetings with the robust content in the course, including 40+ proprietary tools, templates, and videos
- Targeted homework each day to ensure you’re making progress and getting the work done!
Why it works
Wouldn’t it be nice to get momentum in your job search and check off those tasks you’ve been putting off? Like updating your resume, dusting off the LinkedIn profile you haven’t updated since starting your last job, and finally setting up those networking meetings you’ve been thinking about for ages?
There’s a reason it’s hard to get the results you want on your own. Job searching is really, really tough. It requires tons of self-motivation, insight into your own strengths and weaknesses, and the ability to weather a lot of ups and downs.
That’s why we created Bootcamp to be a fast-paced, intense program to help you get unstuck and get results. Our meetings are action-packed and fun, and you’ll leave each one with specific steps to take to ensure you’re on track toward your goals.
The program will give you the structure, tools and motivation you need to tackle the hard stuff that’s keeping you from taking the next step in your career. And the feedback, support and encouragement you’ll get from other group members will give you new clarity on your strengths and accomplishments and help you navigate the inevitable highs and lows of the job search.
But don’t just take it from us – here’s what other Bootcampers had to say after finishing the program:
Before the Bootcamp, I felt stuck. I had been submitting applications online and doing little to no networking. My confidence was shaken. Now, I feel empowered and knowledgeable about job searching. As a result of the Bootcamp, I have a catchy LinkedIn page and a one-page resume that highlights my skills and value. Bootcamp empowered me to think differently, bolster my network and create a path to pursue my goals.”
– Abby B.
The small-group format of Job Search Bootcamp was refreshing and helpful. We quickly felt comfortable sharing our experiences and giving each other feedback; through our coaches’ professional guidance and our combined networks, several of us began landing interviews within a few weeks. By the end of the Bootcamp, I had a new job!”
– Nicole G.

Bootcamp gave me a new perspective on how my materials were being viewed from the other side, and provided tools to make things tangible and practical. Having a group of like-minded individuals to bounce ideas off of was such a big help, and being able to write and submit resumes and cover letters has been so much easier since solidifying what I envision for myself and how I can make that show up on paper.”
